Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add lard and mix together until crumbly.
Add enough ice water to make a soft dough.(Add slowly. It's easy to get too much.)
Roll dough out on a lightly floured board. Handle lightly. Too much working of dough on the board will toughen the crust. Keep hands cool by holding the glass with ice water occasionally.
This is enough for two double crust pies.
Cut in half if making only one double crust pie or two single crust pies.
Lard is best to use, however,if you don't want to use lard, use butter-flavor Crisco.
