Combine water, food coloring, salt & flour until you have a stiff dough. Roll a small amount at a time. Cut rolled dough into strips. Tear into small 3-4 inch pieces as you drop them into rapidly boiling broth. DON'T STIR! (You'll get in lots of trouble if you stir them up -Lori) Cook until tender. You may add the chicken back to the pan if you want. EVERYBODY'S LOVES THESE- We have to have Granny's dumplings at every gathering.
