Preheat oven to 325. Beat butter & cream cheese at medium speed of electric mixer about 2 minutes. Gradually add sugar beating for 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time beating just until yellow is gone. Gradually add flour & salt mixing at low speed just until blended. Stir in vanilla. Pour into greased & floured 10in. tube pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until a toothpick, inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes,remove from pan. Cool completely. This is another version of a pound cake that my friend Debbie's aunt (Lenee Rayburn) made for the holidays & Deb also made it. We would stay up at night when we would get together & eat this cake. I miss the nights Debbte & I used to share since she died almost 6 years ago.
