1.cream butter until soft
2.add sugar gradually, continuing to cream untill light, fluffy
3.add eggs, beat well
4.sift flour, baking powder,and salt together; add in additions; beat well after each additions
5.Sahape into roll 2 inches in diameter; wrap in aluminum foil
6.place in refrigerator; chill several hours or over night
7.cut into 1/4 inch slices; place on ungreased cookie sheet
8.bake 10-12 minutes in moderate oven 400 degrees F
yield- 7 dozen cookies.
