1/2 c. unsalted macadamia nuts, toasted, 1/2 ground, 1/2 chopped
1/3 c dried papaya, cut into 1/2-in pieces
1/3 c dried cherries, chopped
1/3 c. dried blueberries
2 Tbsp oat bran
3 Tbsp ground flaxseed
2 tbsp wheat germ
1.2 tsp coarse salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 Tbsp brown-rice syrup or honey
Instructions
1. Preheat 350 degrees. place dates in a sml
saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to a
simmer. Drain. Puree in a food processor until
smooth.
2. Coat 8-in square pan with cooking spray. mix oats
, nuts, papaya, cherries, blueberries, bran,
flaxseed, wheat germ, salt and cinnamon in lrg bowl.
Mix in date puree and brown-rice syrup or honey.
Press mixture into pan.
3. Bake until center is firm and edges are golden,
about 25 min. Let cool in pan on a wire rack.
