Melt butter, add cream and puree and bring to boil over
high heat. Immediately reduce heat and simmer until
reduced to 2 1/4 c about 15 min. Remove and add
parmesan (only 1/4 c). Season. Cook ham in 2 t butter
until slightly crisp 3-4 min. Add spinach in batches, toss,
until wilted. season. Cook pasta shells for 7 min til al
dente. drain and add to rest. 3 qrt shallow dish,
buttered. Sprinkle with 1/4 c parmesan and bake 20 min
til hot. Can prepare a day ahead or freeze.
