PLACE GRAPE TOMATOES ON A COOKIE SHEET, GRATE GARLIC OVER THEM. DRIZZLE THEM WITH OIL, SEASON WITH SALT & PEPPER AND ROAST FOR 8-10 MINUTES IN A 425 DEGREE OVEN TILL TOMATOES START TO BURST.
TRANSFER ROASTED TOMATOES TO A LARGE BOWL. ADD THE RESERVED PASTA WATER AND WITH A POTATO MASHER, LIGHTLY SMASH THE TOMATOES, ADD BASIL, DRAINED PASTA, AND CHEESE AND TOSS TO COAT. TASTE FOR SEASONING WITH SALT & PEPPER.
