Heat oven to 350. Beat sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla and egg in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Can also mix with spoon. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Dough will be stiff. Stir in white chunks and nuts. Drop dough about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until light brown. Cool 1 to 2 minutes before removing to a wire cooling rack.
