Add butter to soup, stir until smooth, blend in sour cream, salt, pepper, onion, 1 1/4 cup cheese. Pour over potatoes and stir until smooth. Spoon into buttered 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes. Add remaining cheese mixed with corn flakes and spread over casserole. Bake 10-15 minutes longer.
