Line a jelly roll pan with foil.Melt 1/4 c.butter.Pour over foil.Place crackers on top of butter,covering entire bottom of pan.
Melt remaining butter,and add brown sugar.Bring to a boil,reduce heat
and cook on medium low for 2 minutes,stirring occasionally.Remove from heat and add s.c.milk.Pour over crackers and bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes.Remove from heat and cover top with chips.Let sit for a few minutes until chips are spreadable.Sprinkle with nuts.Cool on wire rack .Refrigerate for 30 minutes until chocolate is set.Remove from pan,remove foil and cut into pieces.
