1 tsp. baking soda

1 tbsp. - 1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

2 tsp. ground cinnamon

1 tbsp. ground ginger
|
|
1 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg

1/4 tsp. ground cloves
|
|
2 sticks unsalted butter, room temp.

2 1/2 c. light brown sugar
|
|
4 eggs
|
|
1 c. buttermilk
|
|
1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin (not pie filling)

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |

|
Preheat oven to 350.
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices.
With mixer on medium cream butter and brown sugar.

Add eggs, one at a time.
Speed on low, add flour mixture in 3 batches, alternating with 2 additions buttermilk.
Add pumpkin.
|
|
|
Bake 15-18 min, rotating half-way through.
|
