In a mixing bowl stir together flour and sugar. Cut in butter till mixture resembles fine crumbs. Form into ball; knead till smooth.
On an ungreased cookie sheet pat or roll dough into an 8-inch circle. With your fingers, scallop the edge. Prick dough with a fork. Using a sharp knife, cut circle into 12 to 16 wedges. Do not separate wedges.
Bake in 325 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or just till edges are lightly browned. Re-cut weges. Remove wedges; cool on wire rack.
