1. Preheat oven to 375
2. Mise en plase & scale all ingredients
3. Peel,core, and slice apples.
4. Melt butter in large saute pan.
5. Add apples. Cook until slightly juicy.
6. Add part of the sugar and caramelize just until
light brown.
7. Add apple cider or water.
8. Bring to a boil.
9. Add cornstarch slurry.
10. Cook until thick
11. Add rest of sugar with the cinnamon and nutmeg
(OPT)
12. Put filling inside of crust.
13. Top with another layer of crust.
14. Egg Wash the top layer of crust.
