|
Put pot cheese (farmers cheese) in colander to drain.

|
Combine all ingredients, minus the vanilla, in pot with cheese. On low flame bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Let cool and add vanilla –

optional- add chopped walnuts, cherries and/or pineapple. (I always add 2 large cans of pineapple with juice in cheese mixture)

|
|
Put mixture in cheesecloth bag and lay flat on board to drain. (I use a cookie sheet upside in tray to catch liquid and put a heavy tray on top of bag and something heavy with weight on top of that so liquid can drain out. Let sit overnight and cut away bag.
