Preheat oven to 350. Melt butter in a skillet. Saute onions and mushrooms. Boil green beans in chicken broth for 10 minutes, then drain. Add green beans, soup, onions and stir well. Pour into greased baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes, then top with cheddar cheese and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until hot and cheese is melted.
