Remove giblets from turkey & boil with 1 cut up onion until they are tender. RESERVE THIS BROTH.
Wash turkey and set aside. Saute the 1 c chopped onion and celery in butter until tender and follow directions on dressing package using the reserved broth from the giblets to moisten dressing. Stuff bird and cook covered by a foil tent according to directions. When I put bird in oven, I pour the 3 cans of broth in bottom of roasting pan. Baste periodically. When done let rest for 1/2 to 45 minutes. Use pan drippings and additional broth if necessary along with a pat of butter for gravy. Bring them to a boil and thicken with Wondra flower then pour in whole milk to desired thickness and season with salt and pepper.
