IN LARGE BOWL WHIP EGGS AND SUGAR WITH ELECTRIC MIXTURE AT HIGH SPEED. MIX 8-10 MIN UNTILL MIXTURE IS THICK AND PALE.ADD ANISE. COMBINE THE FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER TOGETHER. GRADUALLY ADD FLOUR TO EGG MIXTURE. ADD MORE FLOUR IF NEEDED.

ON LIGHTLY FLOURED BOARD ROLL DOUGH INTO LON SHAPED ROLLS ABOUT 1 1/2 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND AS LONG AS THE SHEET.
COVER WITH CLEAN TOWEL AND LET SIT OUT OVERNIGHT.

REMOVE ROLLS FROM COOKIE SHEET AND PLACE ON LIGHTLY FLOURED BOARD. CUT INTO 1 1/2 INCH LONG PIECES. RETURN THEM TO COOKIE SHEET.

BAKE 375 FOR 15-20 MIN TILL LIGHT BROWN. COOL ON WIRE RACK.
