Heat oil in pot. Sauté onions, Add the lentils, seasonings and enough water to cover.
Bring to boil, then cook on medium heat until the lentils begin to
soften.
Add rice and cook gently until rice is done. Cook uncovered, adding water as needed,
making sure the rice continues to cook and the mujudra does not dry out. 20 to 30
minutes.
Pour onto a shallow plate/serving dish. Allow to set.
