Beat 5 egg yolks and 1/2 cup of water together until stiff. Add 1 1/2 cups sugar gradually, beat by hand. Sift 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, and pinch of salt. fold into egg yolk batter gradually. Beat 5 egg whites until frothy and add 1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter, beat until stiff and fold into other batter. A little lemon juice may be added to the egg yolk mixture. Set oven on 325. Bake 1 hour or a little longer.
