2 Cup milk, 2 Cup water - scald and let cool to lukewarm
2 Tsp salt
1/4 Cup sugar
2 cakes of yeast - fresh or dry - dissolve in 1/2 Cup warm water
Sift 4 Cups flour into a large bowl, add 1/2 Cup cracked wheat
1/2 Cup lard
Instructions
Stir dry ingredients together, make a depression and add lard, pour in lukewarm water and milk. Let stand until shortening melts. Add yeast and stir in flour to make a soft dough.
