Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl. Stir in milk, 1/3 cup sugar, oil, baking powder, salt, egg and 3 cups of flour. Beat until smooth. Mix in enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle, knead 8-10 minutes until smooth, place in greased bowl, cover and let rise until double.
Heat brown sugar & 1/2 cup butter until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in corn syrup, divide mix between two 9x13 pans, sprinkle each with 1/2 cup pecans. Punch dough down, divide in half, roll each half into rectangles. Spread with 2 tblspn soft butter, mix sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle on each half of dough. Roll up and cut into twelve 1 inch sticks, place in pan, let rise 30 minutes. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes invert onto another pan or acookie sheet. ice when cooled.
