Heat the milk and butter together until butter is
melted. In a large bowl, beat the eggs until
light and foamy. Add the sugar and beat. Sift
together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir
into egg mixture. Add vanilla and then the milk
mixture, gradually stirring all the while. Bake
25-30 minutes at 350 degrees. For the topping,
melt the butter, brown sugar, and cream together.
Stir in coconut. Pour over hot cake. Broil until
topping is bubbly.
