cream shortening & sugar. beat in eggs, then bananas, sour cream, & lemon juice. sift together flour, baking powder, salt & baking soda. add to mixture, stirring just to dampen flour. fold in nuts. pour into greased & floured 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan. bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes. cool in pan 10 minutes. remove & finish cooling on rack. makes 1 loaf.
