Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line two large
baking sheets with foil.
In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs until blended. Add
the butter, 1/2 cup milk, and vanilla. In a large
mixer bowl, stir together the dry ingredients
(except the confectioners' sugar). Add the butter
mixture and stir until blended.
Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them into
1-inch balls. Place them 1-inch apart on the baking
sheets. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the
cookies are puffed and slightly cracked. Cool on the
baking sheets on a wire rack.
In a small bowl, combine the confectioners' sugar,
dark rum, and 2 tbsp milk. Stir until smooth. Dip
the top of each cookie in the frosting. Place
frosted side up on a rack and let stand until the
frosting is firm.
