Stir dry ingredients together. Cut shortening in. Two knives works well. Mixture should be crumbly. Stir in milk with fork just until mixture holds together and forms ball. Turn into lightly flour board. Knead 20 times. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick and cut 18 biscuis with 2 1/2 inch cutter Dip biscuits into 1/4 cup butter.then roll in 3/4 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, Place 15 biscuits around outer part , overlapping, Arrange remaining 3 biscuits to fill center of pan. Pour left over butter over biscuits. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake 20-30 minutes at 375 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes.
