Place 1 strip spareeribs meaty side down on rack
in large roasting pan. mix salt, pepper and 1/2tsp
allspice. sprinkle half the mixture on spareribs
in pan. layer apples on ribs, sprinkle with brown
sugar.place remaining strip sparerib meaty side up
on apples..stir 1/2 tsp all spice into cider. pour
onto spareribs. sprinkle with remaining salt
mixture. cover and back in 350 oven 2 hrs. uncover
and back until ribs are tender, about 1/2 hr.
basting with cider 2-3 times during the baking
period. melt jelly over low heat, brush on ribs
