6 scallions, chopped (can substitute for chopped onions)
2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
Instructions
Wash meat. Soak in water for 1 hour, drain. Sometimes you can find tiny bone scraps stick to the meat.
In a food processor, add chopped onion (if applicable) and pear, purée finely. Pour out to a large bowl, add remaining ingredients and stir.
Marinate beef for 8-10 hours or overnight for optimal taste. Cook. Traditionally, it is grilled with a wood charcoal but certainly you can grill on a gas stove or outdoor grill.
NOTE- Always adjust to taste. Can substitute sugar for brown sugar, honey, and soda (7up or Coke). The marinade can also be used on tofu or even vegetables.
