1) In medium saucepan, add olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes. Heat gently to toast the garlic as slowly as possible until golden brown. Add onionn and incresse heat slightly. Cook unhtil onion is translucent.
2) Add tomatoes and salt and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning. Add basil just before tossing with basil
