Sift dry ingredients together .
Use a pastry blender or a fork to cut shortening into dry
ingredients.
Mix in milk.
Knead gently 10 to 12 strokes.
Cut biscuits may be refrigerated 30 minutes to an hour before
baking.
For drop biscuits, use more liquid and drop from a teaspoon
onto greased sheet.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
