Ok, the recipe I’d like to share is “Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs”! Yeah~~~ This is a famous meal for Chinese families and it is one of my favorite dish (and also one of the many reasons that I am struggling to loose weight today). The recipes of sweet and sour pork ribs vary a lot from northern to southern China, what I am bringing to you today is from Southwest China

Put 2 tablespoongs of vegetable oil in a pan, and turn the stove to high heat, and place the pork ribs in the middle.
Add 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon salt, and cook pork ribs for about 10 minutes until on all sides are well browned.
Pour around 2 cups water which could almost cover the ribs, and turn to low heat.
Add around 8g cinnamon, 5g aniseed, 5g ginger and simmer the ribs for 20 minutes.
When the water reduces to around ˝ cup, add 2 tablespoon sugar, 1/3 cup vinegar, 1/5 cup soy sauce, and stir to well blended
Turn to high heat, cook 3-5 minutes and the liquid will become thick, stir constantly until the liquid almost completely covers the ribs.
Take out the ribs, place in a big dish and spread the sesame on the top.
