Lizs Potato Soup
6 potatoes, peeled, diced, boiled OR Whole & Unpeeled if in a Hurry
Half pkg not maple-its too syrupy-tasting. bacon half inch slices, browned in olive oil,drained!!
1 medium yellow onion, diced and browned for 8 min in olive oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped and browned for 2 minutes
4 chicken bouillon cubes, optional or 1/4 tsp seasoned salt
1 tbsp. parsley flakes or very little celery salt
2 1/2 c water
2 percent milk or pet milk
Salt and pepper
1/3 c. butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Note- I've never cooked it in a crock pot but directions are below if you want to.
Stove-Top- Boil 6 potatoes, peeled, diced, boiled OR Whole & Unpeeled if in a Hurry. Saute half pkg bacon cut in inch slices, then 1 medium yellow onion, diced and browned for 8 min. Last 2 min brown 2 cloves garlic,chopped.
Mash potatoes with masher but not too small. Add milk, seasonings, browned items and cream of mushroom soup. Serve warm with crackers or Jiffy cornbread

(or make a fast version is bacon & frozen hash browns, seasoning & milk only)
NOTE- No Grease at all in soup or it will look and taste like Paste!!! Make sure to drain bacon, onion, garlic on paper towels!
Soup should be a little thin-not too thick, not too thin!
