Boil enough water for a lot of tea (3 teabags' worth, 1 pitcher worth).
Rinse the mint and get rid of most of the stems, leaving the leaves.
Remove water from heat.
Add tea, mint leaves, and sugar to boiling water; remove tea bags after 10 minutes, and leaves after 30.
For iced tea, let sit out until slightly cooler, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.
