Cook ingredients for filling until thick, about 5 minutes.
Heat oven to 475 degrees.
Mix flour, salt. Cut in shortening. Sprinkle with water. Mix well with fork. Round up
dough; divide in halves. Flatten each half slightly and roll into a rectangle, 8 x 12
inches. Cut each half into six 4 inch squares.
Put 1 tbs filling in center of each; moisten edges of pastry with water. Bring corner to
center; seal. Brush with milk; sprinkle with sugar. Bake on cookie sheet 15 to 20
minutes.
