- Preheat the oven to 160C/140F/Gas 3. Grease the both halves of the silicone cupcake mould with butter. Cream together the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.

- Add the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, mix well.Fold in the flour, mix well then add the milk. Use the mixture to fill both halves of the silicone mould, each about 2/3 full.

- Bake for approximately 70 minutes or until golden brown and a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean. The top half may cook slightly quicker then the bottom half so keep checking with a skewer.

- Once cooked allow to cool slightly in the moulds for 30 minutes. Then loosen the edges of the mould away from the cake, roll down the sides of the mould and peel away the bottom. Leave the cakes to cool completely for approximately 2-3 hours. Then decorate as you wish.
