Fry onion in large pot add 500g minced beef and
garlic ,after add some concentrated tomato paste
and fry a bit adding some sugar so it tastes even
better,add crushed tomato and water , using 500g
macaroni or penne add 1.5ltr water or stock add
salt & pepper ,when boiling add the pasta and let
it cook ,it will absorb most of the water . When
pasta is al dente take off heat. Grease an oven
dish and put the pasta & sauce in . In a bowl mix
irkotta ,eggs ,some milk or cream and add
seasoning . Grate cheddar or sweet provolone
cheese add half to irkotta mixture. Put the
irkotta mixture on top of the macaroni and then
the grated cheese on top and back til golden
brown. You can also top with cheese sauce instead
of the rikotta.
