Preheat oven 350 degrees. Combine sugar and Crisco and beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Beat batter until light. Add bananas and stir. Sift dry ingredients together 3 times, stir into batter, beating until smooth. Add walnuts. Pour into greased loaf pan and bakc 60-70 min. Cool in pan 5 minutes. Turn onto rack to cool. This slices nicely when warm. It can be stored in fridge or freezer.
