First ingredients are for 29 cups, second are for 13 cups
5 lbs flour (about 20 cups) -- 9 cups
3/4 cup Double acting baking powder -- 1/3 cup
2 TB + 1tsp salt -- 4 tsp
2 & 3/4 cups non fat dry milk -- 1& 3/4 cup
4 cups shortening (crisco) -- 1 & 3/4 cup
Instructions
Stir dry ingredients together.
Cut shortening into dry mixture until all particles are thoroughly coated and mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. This can be done with a pastry blender, fork, electric mixer, or processor.
Do not sift mix when using for recipies, stir lightly, spoon into cup and level with knife.
Store in a tightly covered container at room temperature for up to six weeks. - -See the "Utah biscuits" for the basic recipe to use the mix, but it is the same as bisquick, and is used the same way.
