1/2 c. dark corn (karo) syrup (I have used white syrup)
1/4 c. butter (or margarine)
1/2 tsp. salt
6 c. cheerios
1 c. pecan halves (walnuts or peanuts)
1/2 c. slivered almonds
Instructions
Heat the brown sugar, syrup, margarine and salt in saucepan for 5 minutes. (It will boil). Add cheerios and nuts. Bake in greased 9 x 13 inch pan for 15 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool 10 minutes. Loosen from pan. Let stand 1 hr. then store them.
