Pick large cucumbers, wash in cold water, and pack in jar with a grape leaf in the bottom and a sprig of dill here and there in the jar. Make a liquid of 6 quarts of water;1 quart of vinegar;1 Tbsp of Alum;1 Tbsp black pepper;1 pound of salt. Pour over the pickles while boiling hot and seal. (cut out of a newspaper)
