Break turkey frame in half. Place in large pot with
water, onion and salt. Bring to boil, reduce heat,
cover and simmer for 1-3 hours. the more you simmer
the richer the flavor.
Remove turkey frame and debone when cool. Chop
meat. Discard bones - strain broth if you think
some bones are still in the broth. To the broth
add undrained tomatoes, bouillon granules, spices
and veggies. Bring to a boil then reduce to a
simmer. Cover and cook 1 hour or more.
When ready to eat, stir in uncooked noodles, chopped turkey and
simmer uncovered for 8-10 minutes or until the
noodles are done.
Note- You can add any vegetables you have including
fresh chopped tomatoes. I like a really hearty soup
so by the time I add the noodles there is not much
broth. You can always thin it out with more broth if
you like it to be soupier.
