     Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening or margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tarter
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
3 Tablesppons sugar
 
1 Tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Beat butter, shortening, sugar and eggs until creamy. Add cream of tarter, baking soda and salt. Add flour and mix well. Allow dough to chill overnight (at least 1-2 hours)
Mix together cinnamon and sugar in small shallow bowl. Roll dough into 1 1/2 inch balls and roll in cinnamon sugar. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned on top. Let stand one minute and then remove to cooling racks.
