1 quart ripe strawberries, hulled and sliced in half
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. half-and-half
1/4 tsp. vanilla
CRUST
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. oil
2 T. cold milk
Instructions
Prepare crust by combining flour, sugar and salt in pie pan.
In separate bowl, mix oil and milk and pour over flour mixture in pie pan. Mix with fork and press with fingers in pan.
Place strawberries in unbaked pie crust.
In bowl, combine flour and sugar, then add half-and-half and vanilla. Mix thoroughly and pour over berries.
Bake pie for 20 minutes at 400 degrees and then turn oven down to 300 degrees and bake 40-50 minutes or until center of pie is firm to the touch.
