paring knife, make slits, insert garlic slivers, season with salt and
pepper, turn on slow cooker to get hot to sear the pot roast,
olive oil in crockpot, add roast to crockpot, add onions/veggies, let
cook - 7 hours
sauce - brandy optional, worcheshire sauce, beef stock, almost
whole container, dijon mustard, squeeze - juice of one lemon, stir
that up and pour over the pot roast, add herbs if you like.
cut butter and flour into the sauce in the crockpot and make a rue,
serve pot roast with rue.
Ham and cheese potatoes in crock pot, slice potatoes very thin -
saute onions and garlic, add sliced mushrooms, salt and pepper,
spray crock pot with non stick spray, layer sliced potatos like
shingles, two layers, scatter mushroom mixture over potatoes, ham
slices layered - smoked ham, cheese, swiss and cheddar, chicken
stock to cover, thyme pieces on sides of crock pot - cook for 4
hours on hight, after 4 hours, take 1/2 cup cream, cover and cook
another 30 minutes, another 1/2 hour, cover with another layer of
cheese, little bit of thyme, another 30 minutes - ready.
