     Apple Pie

Ingredients
6 cups thinly sliced tart apples (about 6) for 9 in pie
3/4 c sugar
1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
dash of salt
2 tbs butter or margarine
 
8 cups thinly sliced apples for 10 in pie
1 c sugar
1 tsp of nutmeg and cinnamon
1/3 c flour

Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in apples.
Turn into pastry lined pie plate. Dot with butter. Cover with top curst and cut slits to let steam escape. Seal and flute.
Cover edges with aluminum foil to prevent excess browning. Remove foil for last 15 minutes of baking.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
Serving Suggestions
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel topping
