Cream the butter and powdered sugar. Add the 2 egg yolks and almond extract. Measure and sift the 2 and 1/2 c flour with the 1/2 tsp salt. Mix well. Put dough in cookie press. Press out cookies.
Bake for 10 minutes in a 375° oven.
You can beat the remaining egg whites with 1 tsp water. Brush tops of cookies. Sprinkle with regular sugar before baking.
