You can use a slow cooker or a stovetop pan (if
pressed for time).
If using regular hotdogs, cut up each hotdog
into 1/2 inch or larger cross slices.
Place cocktail weenies or sliced hotdogs into
pan or slow cooker.
Add Apple jelly and Mustard. Amount of each
depends on how many packages of cocktail
weenies or hotdogs you are serving.
As mixture begins to melt from heat, stir to
blend well. The apple jelly and mustard mixture
will liquefy into a sweet and sour sauce.
As weenies cook, perform a taste test to see if
you need to add more apple jelly, for a sweeter
taste, or more mustard, to add a sour taste.
You want enough sauce to completely cover all
of the weenies.
Cook until weenies or hotdogs are done.
If using slow cooker, you will want to turn
heat setting down to low or warm, once mixture
becomes hot.
