Cut ribs into 2-3 rib portions and put in slow cooker. Sprinkle each portion with salta nd pepper. Spoon cold over top, being careful not to wash off the seasonings. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours, or until ribs are tender. Drain liquid. Pour barbecue sauce into slow cooker. Mix gently with ribs so the meat is coated. Cover and cook onlow for 1 hour, or until ribs are glazed.
