1/2 pound maytag or sanich blue cheese
|

1/2 c. unsalted butter, softened
|

1/2 c. plus 2 t. finely chopped walnuts
|

Assorted fresh fruit (apples, pears, etc.)

sliced french bread or crackers

Instructions |
|
|
Combine cheese and butter in food processor. Process mixture, scraping down sides of bowl with a rubber spatula until smooth. Stir in 1/2 c. walnuts.

Transfer dip to a small platter or serving bowl; sprinkle top with remaining 2 t. walnuts. Serve with fruit and bread/crackers.

(Can be made ahead. Transfer to airtight container. Cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Let stand 3 hours at room temperature to soften.)
