In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the
paddle attachment on medium speed, add the
butter and sugar and cream until light and
fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the stout beer and
beat until the butter is melted. Add the eggs
one at a time along with the vanilla extract
and beat until the mixture is smooth. Scrape
the sides and bottom of the bowl.In a large
bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, baking
powder, black pepper and salt and whisk to
combine.
