Brown ground beef and onion, and celery if desired. Add seasonings and then cans of
beans and tomatoes. Simmer on low heat for 30 to 60 minutes or cook in slow cooker.
This also works very well in the Instant Pot. Brown the meat on Sauté mode with onion
(celery, mushroom and carrots optional), then cook on soup setting.
